Cut 3/8 Cotton Twill Tape x2 @19″. Double Fold 3/8 and stitch. See PDF Pattern for trim spec.
1/8″ fold, 1/8″ fold again. Edge Stitch – OR – Serge edge, fold and top stitch – OR – PINKING cut, fold and straight stitch.
Same double 1/8″ fold with edge stitch. Then Serge other two seams.
Serge no longer required. PINKING SHEAR and then straight stitch is recommended for ease

Serge Mask 3d Shape – Inside of Exterior shown.
Stitch Tape on left and right top side corners. Stitch elastic or ties on left and right bottom side corners. Please note – SOME HOSPITALS REQUIRE LATEX FREE ELASTIC.
Place ‘Right’ faces together (internal on top). Start at center – top. Begin to serge around edge.
Place part D (see 2_4 pdf) 3/8″ under part C prior to continuing serge.
See that small white piece (D) is UNDER (C). This is important for insertion of the filter
Snip Corners, but not too much.
Press corners out with a dull point such as a closed pen, or pencil eraser.
Nose Wire Pocket – Looking at white side of mask, at top right. Stitch from top left corner of mask, to edge opening of filter hole. Only Stitch (C). Do not Stith D.
Look of Mask for the wire pocket from the exterior.

**The intention of this mask is to help save lives during the Covid-19 crisis. A secondary benefit may be to keep small goods factories, and large factories working.
We have admitted to ourselves, that we, the people, should not take on the burden of our governments, and private entities such as hospitals. We also should not gouge. A good price for a good product, that is made well and delivered in a timely manner is what we need now. Go forth, and do good things!
